This article proposes a methodology for solving the generation scheduling problem considering, hydro, pump storage, wind & solar energy systems with and without ramp rate. Renewable energy sources are being considered in power system to minimize the total thermal unit fuel cost. Particle Swarm Optimization technique is used for solving renewable hydro-thermal coordination problem. A pseudo code based algorithm is suggested to deal with the equality constraints of the problem for accelerating the optimization process.
