Energy conservation Initiatives and the Implementation Measures is the collective responsibility of the Govt and the Industry. First the Govt needs to promote the ECON Initiatives to the industry & society by mandatory approach now and that is the need of the hour. All along, the Govt thro BEE was suggesting only, the ECON measures to the industry. The same Govt thro BEE had thrust five star ratings of gadgets in the domestic & commercial segment and the point is driven home already.

Today’s power scenario in the world and in India in particular has changed from that of 'Generation, Transmission,Distribution' to 'Generation, Storage, Distribution & Effective usage'. Solar power generation especially at the last milestone has been recognised as the need of the hour and though, India has not woken up to the effective storage and efficient use of power, the world at large is seriously looking at these dimensions.

Do only the Governments and the electricity generation agencies have the onus to light up every house in this country? Not necessarily; it’s everyone's pursuit indeed. While the power companies, electricity authorities and the governments are making all their efforts for providing uninterrupted power supply, every consumer of power can greatly contribute to make India a power-surplus country.
